Dock Building 101

INTRO: When God gives a word, how do you respond?  Last week, we looked at this story in II Kings chapter three that illustrated the importance of our response to God’s promises.  We determined through last week’s lesson that we need to prepare to receive God’s promises.  If all you do is wish for your ship to come in, it never will make port.  God’s promises demand that our faith will drive us to build a dock for His promises to make berth.  If you believe the promise God has given, then your faith will drive you to make preparations.  But how?  How do you prepare to receive God’s promises without jumping the gun and trying to do His part for Him?  That’s what we’ll learn today.
